Welfelt Frame

John Welfelt of Welfelt Fabrications, a welder/fabricator by trade and boater by passion, has designed a very lightweight frame specifically for the Mini-me and Mini-Max.

Weighing in at only 14lbs, the frame is comprised of polished high-strength aluminum and takes “Packing it in” to a whole new level. Taking up very little cargo space, this is THE PERFECT SETUP for backpacking remote rivers.

The seat is composed of lightweight aerospace honeycomb, with aluminum edges all around, stainless steel, rust-proof fasteners and a custom crafted cover of durable, top-grade water shedding outdoor fabric.

NOTE: Welfelt Fabrication recommends the addition of 2 ea 1″ D-rings on the outside of the boat to secure the frame properly. For the Mini-Max, you will need to retrofit 2 ea d-rings, as well as 2 ea thwart attachments. Add the Mini-Max package to the cart to include those parts. You’ll want to add a 4oz of Stabond 2 part adhesive to your cart as well as cam straps, if you don’t have any on hand.
